FPC Pastor News:
1) Pray for new TM Preacher Michael Chen (wife: Hui-Chen and their two children, Michelle and Micah). His ordination is in Dallas this summer; date to arrive at FPC being planned.
2) Pray for departing EM Pastor John Potter as he finishes at FPC on 6/20 in order to follow God’s call to be a US Navy Chaplain. RSVP to Tammy Crews for Pastor J’s farewell party on Fri 6/20, 7pm. (EM preachers: 6/22 D.Wells; 6/29 T.Phillips; 7/6 J.Njaba; 7/13-20 M.Castro; 7/27 J.Njaba.)
Mission Trip to Taiwan, July 3-22: Pray for the team, training, financial needs ($17,000) and VGM. (See the team’s prayer support letter.)

**Special Need**: 2007 VGM Taiwanese co-worker, Tony Yeh, visits Houston between Aug 1-Sept 11. He wants to attend FPC retreat and otherwise serve FPC, but he needs host families to stay with. Let Pastor J know asap if you can help.
JAM (Jesus And Music) 2008, summer music/worship day camp for high schoolers, will be held 7/21-25, 10am-5pm. New Heart Music Ministries invites all-level (and no level) instrumentalists and singers to participate in a week filled with fun, fellowship, music, and worship. 1) FPC Table Tennis Ministry Team: Come to our Sat practices, 8am-10am at Houston TT Association (11109 Bellaire), $1. PastorJ will remain involved with the “Lord’s Loopers” throughout the summer.
2) A Celebration Retreat (Cursillo for teens) is coming 7/11-7/13 at Cho-Yeh. Find info and applications at www.gpch.org/celebration. See Pastor J.
3) FPC EM Office/Website volunteers needed: to help with bulletin, phones, EM website (see www.fpcinhouston.org.), and preacher scheduling (see above, parag2). We need you!
4) Roots & Wings conference, 7/10-13 in Atlanta, is for young leaders in Taiwanese church.
Youth/Multigeneration Group news:
1) Multigeneration Group usually meets first and third Fridays (6/20) for praise, Bible study, fun, 7:45-9pm. 6/20 is Pastor J’s farewell party.
2) 2nd Fri youth activity (6/13) is cancelled to allow participation in Sat 6/14 VBS field trip. Watch for details from VBS leaders.
3) EM Retreat, Aug 8-10 at Trinity Pines. Cost will be $40. Scholarship help if needed. See Director Gui for registration forms. Planning team may visit Trinity Pines on Sat in July?
4) EM worship participants should meet for Sun prayer, rm205, 9:35am.
5) EM joint SS starts June 15: initial DVD topic: “What is the Missional Church?”
